Beet Extract

Despite only growing well during spring and fall, beets were so well regarded in Ancient Rome and Greece that methods were developed for producing them during the hot summer months. The root part of the beet was cultivated for consumption in either Germany or Italy, first recorded in 1542.

Beet root and leaves are also eaten as a vegetable. Beets are commonly used in the treatment of liver diseases and fatty liver. They are also used help lower levels of triglycerides (a type of fat) in the blood, lower blood pressure, improve athletic performance, and reduce muscle soreness.

Beetroot juice being a rich source of iron, vitamins and minerals can support the maintenance of healthy skin. Drinking a glass of beetroot juice regularly helps cleanse the body of toxins.
